I have been living in Australia since 1996, and a citizen since about 2015. I peruse Australian media pretty regularly. Recently I’ve been noticing that certain lines of thought are rarely mentioned in the “quality” media, whereas somewhat kooky ideas get a lot of play. For example, the (to me eccentric) view that lack of supply is in no way accountable for high property prices seems to get frequently aired, whereas the converse opinion seems to be quite heretical (although thank goodness for Peter Tulip).
The purpose of this substack is to cover solutions that address major problems affecting Australia (and possibly other places), and aren’t already well covered by the ABC, Fairfax, Conversation etc.
